A Finished Finish!

Not only is Pack of Cards stitched, it's properly finished. This has got to be a record for me.

It doesn't show well in the photo, but the backing fabric is about the same colour as the floss used in the top and bottom lines.

And this is what happens when I bring out a bag, any bag. In this case, it's the one where I keep my backing fabric and trims.

Snowy's take on it all is "If it's got an opening, it's mine!", and that's that.

WIP Wednesday 25 March 2015

Well, I've put in a couple more hours on Purrfect since the end of IHSW.

This is where it was last Wednesday

This is where it was Sunday night

And this is where I stopped last night

Looking forward to getting the nose in and there will be a lot of 1/2 stitches around the outside of the head.

March IHSW

Well, IHSW #3 done for 2015 and I don't know where this weekend went, but boy did it fly by! Got very little stitching time, but Purrfect got all the attention.

End of stitching:

I think the second ear is starting to take shape.

Now to blog hop and see what everyone else got done.

It's TUSAL Time!

Huh, what am I talking about? Go to Daffycat's blog and check it out.

My ORT pile doesn't look very big for a month,

but those little threads do include a finish!

And this is all of 2015 in it's holder.

WIP Wednesday 18 March 2015

Well, once Pack of Cards was finished, the universe pretty much sucked up my stitching time. I got a tiny bit done on Purrfect.

Last Wednesday:

Hmm, that second eye almost looks like it belongs now.

Hopefully this week will be better (where have you heard THAT before?), especially as it's International Hermit and Stitch Weekend. Happy stitching everyone!

IHSW Is Coming!

It's that weekend of the month again - IHSW (International Hermit and Stitch Weekend)! Check out Joyce's blog Random Ramblings to see what I'm talking about and come and join us as we stitch the weekend away. And then you get to visit other bloggers and see what they have been stitching on.

Happy Dancing!

Pack of Cards is done!

I think it will end up as a pillow. I want to give it to my craft partner Cynthia and she doesn't have a lot of wall space! It's kind of an inside joke - whenever she gets frustrated with her DH she threatens to bury him in the nearest muskeg patch and I always promise to bring a spare shovel. After all, what are friends for?

WIP Wednesday 11 March

Didn't get in a lot of stitching time this week and all of it was used for Pack of Cards. Here is last Wednesday:

and this is where I stopped last night.

I am SO close to a finish - about 2 lines of red and the last 2 words.

There is going to be a happy dance this week for sure.

Have a great stitching week everyone!

It's That Weekend - Spring Forward Everyone

It's here again - the weekend that we lose an hour's sleep and irritate our pets because meals are at the wrong times!

Or at least that's how it works in my home. On the plus side, it's one more sign that spring is coming and hopefully the end of all the snow that has engulfed so many.

WIP Wednesday March 4

It's been a good week - I've gotten at least a little bit done on all 4 projects.

Here is where Pack of Cards was last

and here is where I left it yesterday morning.

I think this really will be a finish this month. I hope so, because the friend it's for has her birthday April 13 and I still have to decide how to finally finish it.

Then, Purrfect was here

and this is where I stopped on Monday.

A whole ear!

PM Noah's Ark was here

and this is as far as I got this weekend.

You can't tell in the photo, but the white part of the robe is Krenik PB and has a nice sparkle.

And finally, my UFO. This was the piece that got the shortest amount of time, but every stitch counts, right? Started here

and finished here.

Got the vines done on about half the capital alphabet. Had to redo "A", as after I had done "B" and "C" it looked very sloppy.

Hopefully next week will go as well.
