Oops, I almost missed the last WIP Wednesday of the year. Got in a bit more stitching on the towel, so just the backstitching to go.
Hopefully I'll get some stitching in tonight as it's an at-home New Year's Eve.
Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all health and happiness in 2015.

Well, I didn't get as much stitching time as I had hoped (do we ever?), but I made a little progress on my hooded towel.
I was here on Friday night
and got to here by Sunday night.
The first picture is by far the more accurate colour for the towel.
Got to get a move on - the baby shower is going to be sometime between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.

Well, it's the third weekend in December and the last IHSW for 2014 is on! What am I talking about?
International Hermit and Stitch Weekend.
Check out Random Ramblings to sign up and read all about it.

How did we get here again so fast? This week I'm working on a hooded bath towel.
The pattern seemed appropriate for a baby born in a fishing community like Prince Rupert.
It's a fun stitch and it shouldn't take me too long to finish it.

I've been working on a bib - my craft partner was supposed to become a first time grandma this weekend, but he decided to show up last night - so I need to get cracking! Here's where I am:
There's one more elephant - green one - to go on the left with another heart and 2 more stars.
And some back stitching.

Just finished the stocking I've been stitching for a friend for her newest grandchild.
Sorry for the wrinkles, but it's just out of the hoop. It's a cute design, but it has French knots in the middle of nowhere, so I have long lengths of floss across the back. Why do designers do that?
Now to work on a couple of things for a baby shower in a couple of weeks - if the baby is on time!

Well, it's our first snow fall for Winter 2014. This is what greeted me this morning:
and it's still coming down.
Believe it or not, there is a harbour beyond those power lines! On the positive side, it's warmer today than it has been the last few days when it was sunny.

On Oct. 1st I started the trip home. I took these just outside Drummondville, PQ. It just screamed 'autumn' - golden light, harvested fields.
After leaving Ontario, we headed across the prairies.
Lots of sloughs.
As you can see, the flat prairies are not flat.
Have no idea what this is. It's what you look at sitting in the Winnipeg train station. One friend said it looked like some thing designed by an architect when he was drunk.
Leaving Jasper I was back in my mountains and I knew I was almost home.
And the lakes with the fall coloured trees.
Headed for PEI on the 27th. On the way, we had to stop and see the world's largest lobster in Shediac.
For a small province, New Brunswick has a lot of "world's largest" things to see.
We continued our trek and approached Confederation Bridge.
This is the view from the bridge.
There is a rise in the middle of the bridge where it goes over the sea lanes.
Our first glimpses of the island.
We had to go to Green Gables of course - I loved the Anne stories.
The front yard.
And where L.M. Montgomery grew up in Cavendish.
Where her home stood.
Then on to Charlottetown.
Confederation Square and war memorial.
And just shots of the island scenery.
Loved the bright colours.
It was a wonderful day and as you can see, I had fabulous weather for my whole visit to NB.
